Artist's Comments

This was done for an English assignment back in October, 2004. We were told to draw Death, or at least how we feel about it. Everybody else drew Hell. XD (Brigham drew a TV. "Seven days...") The rose sort of freaked people out. O_O;;;

Also note that my rose has no thorns. I'll leave that open to your interpretation.

Nicely done, and very interesting. Perhaps the lack of thorns shows the fragility and defencelessness of the rose, and that death picked on it unfairly?

Hmmm, I felt that the lack of thorns could attribute to the final loss of pain (or causing which) when one loses their life.
